Castle Education works closely with a wide range of primary and secondary schools across York and the surrounding areas. We are recruiting reliable and adaptable Teachers to support schools with day-to-day and short-term cover across different year groups and subjects.

This role is suitable for teachers who enjoy variety, want local work, or are exploring flexible alternatives to permanent roles.
The role as a teacher, you will:

• Deliver pre-planned lessons provided by the school
• Maintain a positive and well-managed classroom environment
• Adapt confidently to different schools, subjects or year groups
• Follow school behaviour policies and safeguarding procedures
• Support pupils to stay engaged and on task
• Provide brief end-of-day feedback to school staff

You choose the days you work, with opportunities ranging from ad-hoc cover to more regular bookings.
Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Recent experience teaching in a school setting
• Confidence managing classrooms effectively
• A flexible, reliable and professional approach
• Strong communication and organisation skills
