We are currently working with a lovely small village primary school located between York and Malton, who are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated EYFS/KS1 Teacher to join their welcoming team on a full-time, temporary basis from September 2026 to cover a maternity leave.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a nurturing school community where staff work closely together to provide a supportive and engaging learning environment for all pupils. The school is seeking a teacher who is passionate about early years and key stage one education and can quickly build positive relationships with children, colleagues and parents.

The successful candidate will:
• Have strong curriculum knowledge and experience teaching within EYFS and KS1
• Deliver engaging, creative and inclusive lessons that inspire young learners
• Create a positive, nurturing and stimulating classroom environment
• Build strong relationships with pupils, staff and families
• Demonstrate excellent classroom management and communication skills
• Work effectively as part of a supportive and collaborative team
• Bring enthusiasm, energy and a positive attitude to school life

What we’re looking for:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Recent experience teaching within EYFS and/or KS1
• A passion for supporting children to achieve their full potential
• Strong classroom management and organisational skills
• A flexible, proactive and positive approach
• ECTs are welcome to apply
