Scarborough STEM Week 2026 (#SSW26) is a three-day annual event inspiring young people to explore the exciting world of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).

Founded by the Scarborough Business Ambassadors, the event brings together schools, businesses and industry leaders to showcase how STEM subjects can lead to rewarding careers and real-world opportunities across Scarborough and North Yorkshire.

Over the past 16 years, Scarborough STEM Week has inspired more than 47,000 young people through engaging workshops, interactive activities, employer-led experiences and careers insight sessions. The event welcomes students aged 7–19, teachers, local families and employers from across the region.

Scarborough and the wider Yorkshire Coast are home to innovative businesses across advanced manufacturing, food production, engineering, renewable energy and technology. Events like Scarborough STEM Week help inspire the next generation to explore these industries and discover future career pathways.
