At Castle Education, supporting Yorkshire schools goes beyond recruitment.
As part of Castle Employment Group’s wider Community Giving Fund, our Act of Kindness initiative gives us the opportunity to support the causes that matter most to the schools, educators and communities we work with across Yorkshire.
Each quarter, we donate £250 to a charity chosen by one of our clients, helping to celebrate the incredible fundraising, community work and support taking place within local schools and education settings.
For us, it is about more than simply filling vacancies. It is about building long-term relationships with schools and making a positive difference in the communities we are proud to work within.
Q4 Winner: Overdale School
Our Q4 2025 winner was Overdale School, who chose to donate their £250 Act of Kindness contribution to Macmillan Cancer Support.
The nomination was inspired by their Headteacher’s incredible efforts to run a marathon in support of the charity, raising money to help people and families affected by cancer across the UK.
Macmillan Cancer Support provides practical, emotional and financial support to people living with cancer, from specialist nurses and wellbeing services to guidance for families navigating treatment and recovery.
We were proud to support such an important cause and to recognise the fundraising and community spirit shown by Overdale School.
Supporting Local Schools Across Yorkshire
At Castle Education, we work closely with schools, teachers, teaching assistants and education professionals across Yorkshire, including Scarborough, York, Hull, Leeds and the wider West Yorkshire region.
One of the things we value most is the role schools play within their local communities.
Every day, we see schools:

- Creating opportunities for children and young people

Our Act of Kindness initiative is a small way for us to give something back to the schools and organisations making that difference every day.
