Castle Education is working in partnership with Primary schools across Whitby through the Scarborough CCS framework. We are currently recruiting reliable, engaging Year 2 Supply Teachers to provide high-quality day-to-day cover in welcoming local schools.
This role is ideal for teachers seeking flexibility, regular local work, or a healthier work-life balance, without the pressures of planning and marking.

The role As a Year 2 Primary Supply Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver pre-planned lessons provided by the school
  • Create a positive and engaging learning environment
  • Manage classroom behaviour confidently and consistently
  • Support pupils to stay focused, motivated and on track
  • Follow safeguarding procedures and school policies
  • Provide brief end-of-day feedback to school staff

You can choose the days you work, with opportunities ranging from ad-hoc supply to more regular bookings.
Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK
  • Recent experience teaching in KS1, ideally Year 2
  • Confidence stepping into new classroom settings
  • A calm, flexible and professional approach
  • A genuine passion for supporting young learners
