Year 1 Teacher – Scarborough

If you love those early lightbulb moments when children suddenly “get it”, this could be a really lovely fit.

We are working with a primary school in Scarborough that puts a huge emphasis on a gentle transition from EYFS into Year 1. They are not looking for someone overly formal or rigid, they want a teacher who can balance structure with creativity and understands that some children are still very much learning through play.

In this role, you’ll be leading phonics, early writing and number work, but just as importantly, building confidence, routines and a genuine love for learning. The classroom is well supported with experienced TA support, so you’re not doing it all alone.
