£145–£200 per day | Weekly Pay | Specialist School | Easter StartWe’re currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity at a specialist school in York for a maternity cover role, delivering engaging and supportive lessons across all subjects to students with SEMH needs.This is a highly rewarding role for someone who is committed to making a real difference, helping young people build confidence, achieve academically, and reach their full potential.

The Role
You will be responsible for:
Planning and delivering lessons across all subjects for students with SEMH needs
Creating a positive, consistent, and structured classroom environment
Adapting teaching methods to meet individual learning needs
Working collaboratively with support staff and the wider school team
Supporting student progress through strong relationships and effective behaviour strategies

What We’re Looking For
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or relevant teaching qualification
Experience teaching across multiple subjects (KS3/KS4 desirable)
Experience working with pupils with SEMH/SEND (school, PRU, alternative provision, etc.)
Strong behaviour management skills with a calm, trauma-informed approach
A genuine passion for helping young people succeed
