Castle Education works closely with a wide range of secondary schools and academies across Beverley and East Yorkshire. We are supporting schools with flexible, day-to-day teaching cover across KS3 and KS4, and we welcome teachers from all subject specialisms.
This role is ideal for teachers who enjoy variety, want local work, or are exploring flexible alternatives to permanent roles.
The role As a Secondary Teacher, you will:
- Deliver pre-planned lessons provided by the school
- Maintain a positive and well-managed classroom environment
- Adapt confidently to different subjects, year groups and school settings
- Follow school behaviour policies and safeguarding procedures
- Keep pupils engaged and on task
- Provide brief end-of-day feedback to school staff
You choose the days you work, with opportunities ranging from ad-hoc cover to more regular and longer-term bookings.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Recent experience teaching in a secondary school setting
- Confidence managing classrooms across KS3 and KS4
- A flexible, reliable and professional approach
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
