About the Role:
We are partnering with a forward thinking secondary school in York, rated “Good” by Ofsted, that is known for its strong sense of community and commitment to staff development. The school has a hands on and approachable senior leadership team, well resourced departments, and a culture where new ideas and teaching styles are genuinely welcomed.
This opportunity would suit a teacher who wants to be part of a school where they can have real input, feel supported in their day to day role, and make a visible impact on student progress and engagement. Whether you specialise in English, Maths, Science, or another subject area, you will play a key role in engaging students and driving progress across KS3 and KS4.

What You’ll Do:
Plan and deliver engaging lessons across your subject specialism
Support student progress and attainment across KS3 and KS4
Track and assess progress, adapting teaching to meet individual needs
Create a positive classroom environment with clear behaviour expectations
Support students’ personal development and wellbeing
Work closely with your department and senior leadership team

Who You Are:
Qualified Teacher with QTS or TRN
Experience teaching within a secondary setting
Strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills
Confident with assessment and supporting student progress
Passionate about inspiring young people
DBS on the update service
