English Specialist SEMH Teacher (Scarborough)
£150–£200 per day | Weekly Pay | Specialist School | Immediate Start Available
We’re currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity at a specialist school in Scarborough, delivering engaging and supportive English lessons to students who thrive with the right guidance and structure.
This is a rewarding role for someone who is committed to making a real difference, helping young people build confidence, improve literacy skills, and achieve their potential.

The Role You will be responsible for:

• Planning and delivering English lessons to students with SEMH needs
• Creating a positive and consistent classroom environment
• Adapting teaching methods to meet individual learning needs
• Working collaboratively with support staff and the wider school team
• Supporting student progress through strong relationships and behaviour strategies

 
✅ Hours:

• Monday–Thursday: 8:30am – 3:00pm
• Friday: 8:30am – 12:30pm (early finish!)
  ✅ Weekly pay

What We’re Looking For We’d love to hear from you if you have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or relevant teaching qualification
• Experience teaching English (KS3/KS4 desirable)
• Experience working with pupils with SEMH/SEND (school, PRU, alternative provision etc.)
• Strong behaviour management skills with a calm, trauma-informed approach
• A genuine passion for helping young people succeed
